This is the ONLY gel eyeliner that does what it says it does. The colors look great and they last all day, it stays on, is totally waterproof, cry proof and is easy to apply. Honestly, my eyes tear A LOT. I have dry eye and for some strange reason, it makes them tear a lot. I know, weird. So, I have to use drops and stuff, and this wonderful product stays put, and looks great all day. I used to use another eyeliner, which I liked how it would go on and look, but by the end of the day it was gone. If I was at a party and laughed with my eyes involved (you know, a BIG laugh till you cry one), I would end up looking like a racoon at best and Alice Cooper at worst. Very embarrassing. My eyelashes are sparse, so I don't always wear mascara. I KNOW that it wasn't the mascara that was running. It was my old eyeliner.I highly recommend the IT line of gel eyeliners. This eyeliner is the real deal - it stays on and doesn't run.It's easy to break off the tip of the liner when sharpening and so I don't sharpen as often as I'd like. I also have broken several of the ends of the liner pencil where the built in-sharpener is located. But the liner glides on easily and stays on for the day. I like this liner better than any other I've tried and I'm in my early 50's. And it is nice to have the built in sharpener but remember to be careful when sharpening!The photo is my liner after a six-hour shift on an 85-degree day. :) I use a different liner for the wing.Reviewers that say this eyeliner does not stay on must not be doing anything besides applying this straight to their lids. People ask me all the time how my waterline stays looking great all day, and here is the life-changing secret:If you have very little time and/or want no extra fuss like I do sometimes just skip steps 4 and 5. You'll still get better results than the liner alone!1. Take a Q-tip and carefully, gently dab across your waterline. This gives the eyeliner something to stick on!2. Apply eyeshadow primer. (Urban Decay's Eyeshadow primer potion works wonders, get the travel size!)3. Apply your eyeliner as usual.4. Set your liner with a light, loose powder.5. Seal everything in with a light misting of Setting spray (Highly recommend Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray)I won't use any other liner for my waterline and lash line- it goes on like butter, and stays on like glue.This gel liner should go on smooth. When I went to use it, it was all dried out. I’ve used this product for years - they must be selling old gel liners. Could not apply it at all. I had some of my other liner left so I didn’t use this one right away and now cannot return.I love this liner because it’s so smooth and easy to put on is definitely no tugging however if you happen to leave the cover off even just for one day it dries up the stick it’s also hard to use the self enclosed sharpener on the end of the pencil but otherwise I’d like this productWhile the color is darker than I expected - it is more black to me with not really much brown to it, I still love it. It glides on easily, and will stay on for my whole 9 hour work day. If I am going out at night I usually do touch it up, but it does stay put as far as no smearing (I do use a eye primer so I don't know if that makes a difference). I am not crazy about the sharpener - it doesn't really give you that good pointed tip like when it was new, so after the initial use, the tip gets dull and the line gets thicker. It is one of the better no tug eyeliners that I have tried.This is a great eyeliner. I didn't realize that other eyeliners tugged (pulled at your skin or got caught on eyelashes) until I used this. The application is very smooth, it goes on dark the first time, and it lasts a long time.
