Bristles are very soft , hold lots of water and paintThey all come to a very tiny point for fine detailsIncredible price for the qualityOrdered these brushes for watercolor painting as advertised and was shocked to see how long the handles were. You would need to be a considerable distance from your paper to use these brushes, so I would think they would only be good for easel painting such as oils. Since I would like to try oil painting, I kept them, but don't see use for them as watercolor brushes although they are certainly nice.I sent these back. They weren't what I needed. Nothing wrong with them, jut not what I was looking forBristles shed quite a bit.
